Chess

Chess has been part of my life for many years. I love both the game itself and the quiet tension that exists between two minds sharing the same board. Beyond strategy, I am fascinated by the shapes of the pieces, the rhythm of the board and the symbolism hidden within every move. Sometimes chess appears as a simple still life, other times it becomes part of a larger composition. For me, it is both an intellectual game and a visual language that naturally belongs in my paintings.
